AICE Media Studies: Genre Research: El Camino
This movie was great, It acts like a sequel to the award-winning Breaking Bad T.V. show. It's all about the loose ends that are not shown in the ending of the T.V. show and actually serves justice to those who deserved it in the film. This movie is all work and no play, what I mean is that this is one thousand percent serious at all times. It has action in it and other themes like western and crime-drama, but it is to its core, a drama. It doesn't let its foot off the pedal for one moment and always keeps you on edge, worried, or entertained until the very end. The part I enjoyed is unlike To The Bone, this movie can be 100% serious with no comedy and still be amazing in my opinion, that's because of background knowledge and prior information and love for characters before the movie came out. And also it is completely fictional whereas To The Bone had fictional aspects in it but ultimately touched on a very real illness. The aspects of this movie that I believe wont fit into our representation of drama is the action. It has a couple action scenes which is great in its own right but does not have as big of a place in our project like that movie does. Regardless this movie can be used and researched in order to gain the experience to know about the drama genre
