Genre Decision: AICE Media Studies

 Our decided genre:

For our final task, we have decided to choose a genre. We have decided collectively to pick Drama. Our reasons of this is as follows. Since we decided our pitch should be the 2nd one, we believe drama would fit this pitch perfectly. Our second pitch is about a basketball tournament with important things on the line. We believe that having a drama genre would make the movie better for the audience. For example, a part of the movie could include a dangerous situation for the character. They would have a high risk of getting hurt or something bad to happen to them. Adding elements from drama movies would help. It would portray feelings of suspense and being anxious to the audience. This would attract the audience more. They would feel something is on the line and hope for the best for the character. Another reason is because we have a better understanding of how drama movies work. We've watched plenty of drama movies before so we see this as a plus. It would be easier to determine how we would approach this final task. It would also be more enjoyable for us as we enjoy drama movies and would enjoy making one as well. Another reason is simply we think it would be more enjoyable. Out of every other genre, we think this would be better to watch for us personally and hopefully our audience too. So those are reasons on why we chose this genre for our final task. Hopefully this genre fits our pitch and audience well during filming for it.

 Hello. This will be my last blog updating my progress. The last blog will be the movie itself. I managed to finish everything that needed be done. All of the footage is put together and edited properly to fit most of the storyboard. I did have to change some thing though. Firstly, I had to take out some scenes. This was because the movie would be too long and pass the 2 minute mark. Some of the scenes taken out were in the car scene where instead of having the car moving, the car is still. The scenes are only taken from the side as nobody is in the front. The next scene at the court is also different as less angles of the court were taken because it would make the movie too long. It was also quicker too leading into the next page of the storyboard. Scene 5 was changed where instead of me falling, I just tried to block him instead. He makes the shot still. The angle is also different where it's on the side instead. I also don't kneel and just put my hands on my head and my knee...

Production Blog for my final task: Last footage: AICE Media Studies

 Hello again. From my previously blog, I talked about what footage we gathered and the next time we planned to film. However, things changed. My partner and friend had to work on the day we were supposed to film. And even though we put the day back one of them still had to work. This meant that we couldn't film. So instead we are going to file day, on on Sunday where everyone is off work. So before Sunday, I will gather footage for my car scenes. That way, we'll have all the footage of the movie. Afterwards, I will move on. We will finish up the last steps of the final task. We will take all of the footage and edit it to make our movie. I will mainly do most of the editing. My partner will help me if needed as of right now. Editing the film shouldn't take too long. I do have a little experience from my previous projects. So I have some understanding of editing a film.
