AICE Media Studies: Editing for my music video project.

 Editing:

After my last two blogs, me and my partner finally have all of our footage. Last weekend, we met up at the beach and filmed for our music video. We only got our beach scenes. However, yesterday my partner obtained the rest of the footage by himself. However, I had to cut the scene out as it is too long for the video and I can't shorten it. He sent me the footage he recorded and today I planned on editing it. I have worked on most of the footage today. I plan on adding finishing touches tomorrow and have my partner review it to make sure it's good. So for today, I am going to edit and put together our footage. The first scene is the opening shot of the beach. The song starts here. It slowly pans to the right showing me singing along. The next scene is the first actor singing by the beach. The next one is them walking down the beach while singing. The next scene is the second actor upon a tree looking overhead the beach. Afterwards, the camera cuts to both actors singing for the next few scenes. The last scene has both actors walk towards the camera and fades away. I edited the song into the background of the video. It also fades at the end and has the song's cover at the end. Tomorrow, I will add finishing touches to our video and publish our final product.

 Hello. This will be my last blog updating my progress. The last blog will be the movie itself. I managed to finish everything that needed be done. All of the footage is put together and edited properly to fit most of the storyboard. I did have to change some thing though. Firstly, I had to take out some scenes. This was because the movie would be too long and pass the 2 minute mark. Some of the scenes taken out were in the car scene where instead of having the car moving, the car is still. The scenes are only taken from the side as nobody is in the front. The next scene at the court is also different as less angles of the court were taken because it would make the movie too long. It was also quicker too leading into the next page of the storyboard. Scene 5 was changed where instead of me falling, I just tried to block him instead. He makes the shot still. The angle is also different where it's on the side instead. I also don't kneel and just put my hands on my head and my knee...

Production Blog for my final task: Last footage: AICE Media Studies

 Hello again. From my previously blog, I talked about what footage we gathered and the next time we planned to film. However, things changed. My partner and friend had to work on the day we were supposed to film. And even though we put the day back one of them still had to work. This meant that we couldn't film. So instead we are going to file day, on on Sunday where everyone is off work. So before Sunday, I will gather footage for my car scenes. That way, we'll have all the footage of the movie. Afterwards, I will move on. We will finish up the last steps of the final task. We will take all of the footage and edit it to make our movie. I will mainly do most of the editing. My partner will help me if needed as of right now. Editing the film shouldn't take too long. I do have a little experience from my previous projects. So I have some understanding of editing a film.
